E-File

WHAT IS E-FILE?
A simple definition of E-File is an individual tax return being sent directly to the IRS main frame computer by an IRS Authorized E-Filer. The transmission and processing of individual tax information is done completely by an authorized tax professional and is sent directly to the IRS main computer. In 2007, nationwide, there were more than 81,171,386 tax returns e-filed.

HOW DO I E-FILE?

1. Complete the tax organizer forms that pertain to you. Click on the tax organizer button.

2. You must fax or e-mail us a scanned copy of your W-2, and/or 1099's. We must have your W-2's and/or 1099's before we can start your tax return. IRS requires that I have your W-2's and/or 1099's before I can e-file your tax forms.

3. Our Fax number is 1-812-232-7573

4. Our e-mail address is Taxpro@Stadlertax.com

HOW DOES E-FILE WORK?

1. We must prepare your tax forms for you.

2. We will fax or e-mail you a copy of your completed tax return.

3. You must sign IRS form 8453, and fax this form back to us. This form authorizes us to E-File your tax forms.

4. Once we recieve the signed Authorization form from you we then electronically transmit your tax return to the IRS.

5. IRS acknowledges receipt of the return and sends an acknowledgment back to us stating whether they have accepted or rejected your tax return.

6. If the IRS should rejected your tax return the reasons are normally because of not providing the correct social security number and last name as it appears on your current social security card.

7. If we receive your tax return back from the IRS rejected we will contact you to correct the information. There is an additional $10.00 fee for each time we need to retransmit your tax return to the IRS.

WHO CAN E- FILE?

Just about everyone who is filing an individual federal tax return for the year 2007 can e-file. One return that cannot be e-filed is the Amended Tax Form 1040X.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF E-FILING?

-Reduce chance of audit
-Direct Deposit Refunds
-Acknowledged return acceptance
-Enhanced Customer Service
-Quicker Processing
-Quicker tax refund
